The design solution uses shipbuilding technologies and innovative ultralight, impact-proof materials. Proved by testing on ground, water, and snow, its high performance, which enables the vehicle to pass distances at speed up to 80 km/h on land and over 5 km/h on water, was achieved through the use of hi-tech composite high-strength materials.

For operation in snowy winters and at low temperatures, the tracked all-terrain vehicle TERRANICA Dreamtrack is equipped with an anti-slip tread on its drive wheels. The suspension components are made using a revolutionary technology of UHMW polyethylene hot sintering. This allows repelling even wet snow and minimizes unintended stoppage caused by the track slipping off the wheels. No more troubles on your way wherever you may go.

  • What class does TERRANICA Dreamtrack belong to?

    Because TERRANICA is, first of all, a commercial project, we have clearly defined our market niche, outlined the operating conditions, the target audience, and the vehicle requirements. The design work was carried out based on these conditions.

    TERRANICA Dreamtrack is marketed as a much desired but still not widespread compact class tracked all-terrain vehicle with compulsory requirement to ensure the ability to transport it on a trailer behind a car.

    This vehicle is in the middle between the compact class all-terrain vehicles (quad bikes, snowmobiles, amphibians) that have very limited practical applications and large all-terrain tracked vehicles initially intended for military use, as a rule, that have dimension restrictions and are fuel-inefficient because of their size and weight.

  • Why did we chose a rear-engine configuration for this vehicle?

    When designing TERRANICA, our goal was to provide a brand new set of properties giving significant competitive advantages.

    For its size and weight considerations (the need to transport on a trailer), the Dreamtrack configuration was chosen in alignment with the maximum space utilization philosophy. For these purposes, we used a compact transverse power unit mounted at the back. In addition to such configuration advantages, this provides best possible weight distribution with the center of gravity shifted back. This is a benefit both when traveling on weak soil surfaces and on water.

    The rear-engine design gave us maximum space for passengers that made it possible to equip the vehicle with six seats that may be converted to a sleeping position and provide enough space to accommodate large amount of luggage.

  • ARE THE UNITS AND PARTS OF THE ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE UNIFIED WITH AUTOMOTIVE UNITS AND PARTS, OR THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL PARTS ONLY?

    The vehicle undercarriage parts are unified to the maximum possible extent both within themselves and within different vehicles. This reduces its manufacturing cost, shortens the list of spare parts, and allows you to bring less spare parts, tools, and accessories with you.

    The all-terrain vehicle equipment such us electrical, heating, cooling, and brake systems is also unified with commercially available cars to the maximum possible extent.

  • USING THE VEHICLE FAR AWAY FROM SERVICE CENTERS? NO PROBLEM!

     The TERRANICA all-terrain vehicles are, first of all, utility vehicles that perform specific transport tasks in heavy conditions where their whole structure is designed for reliable and safe movement in off-road terrain with sufficient comfort and maximum possible cost efficiency. When developing the design, we considered our all-terrain vehicle not as an end product, but as a complex of measures including cost-efficient production, competent logistics, clear understanding of markets, and organization of our dealer network. Given the operation of all-terrain vehicles far away from service centers, we specially focused on ensuring their reliability and field repairability using only well-proven design solutions, units, assemblies, and common parts.

  • THE "INCREDIBLE" CAPABILITIES OF TERRANICA. WHAT MAKES THEM POSSIBLE?

    When creating our all-terrain vehicle, we paid special attention to achieving perfect ride performance. High crossing capacity is provided by both geometrics (high ground clearance, no front overhang, minimum rear overhang, low center of gravity) and chassis design with its long-stroke suspension that is able to adapt to uneven surfaces, double-row track rollers to reduce the chance of track slipping off, spring-loaded idler to reduce the chance of damage to chassis and ensure permanent track tension.

  • WHY DOES THE VEHICLE USE RUBBER TRACKS?

    The vehicle uses an up-to-date track design with Kevlar cord-rubber composite material. In addition, such track with a track sprocket made of UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) provides a significant reduction in noise and wear. The track is specially designed for our vehicle. Available widths include 500, and 600 mm with minimum life-cycle of 5000 km. Such result was achieved by long-term research on the synthesis of synthetic rubber and UHMWPE modified by nano-additives. A 600-mm track is made asymmetrical, which allows you to use 500-mm and 600-mm tracks on one vehicle without changing the suspension brackets and use different tracks depending on the conditions. At the moment, we are carrying out in-depth studies on this issue. Our short-term plans include creating materials for the tracks with a life-cycle of 10,000 km, which would be more than ample for this class of vehicles. Along with a track sprocket that has the same life cycle, we, for the first time in the history of modern design engineering, approach to creating a unit that plays a key role in the development of such devices and, in fact, gives us the opportunity to make a brand-new generation of all-terrain vehicles.

  • TRACKED VEHICLES COMMONLY USE A TORSION BAR SUSPENSION. WHY DID TERRANICA CHOOSE TO MAKE THE SUSPENSION WITH EXTERNAL DAMPING ELEMENTS? WILL IT BE ROBUST?

    In terms of its structural design, the TERRANICA suspension is similar to the suspension of Israeli tank Merkava Mk2 – it is a single assembly of suspension bracket, levers, struts, support rollers, and carrier rollers. Only 4 bolts are needed to attach the suspension assembly to the vehicle, which significantly facilitates assembly and repair operations.

    Our vehicle has a soft, long-stroke suspension with good shock absorption that ensures very smooth riding. This not only increases comfort, but can also significantly increase the speed of movement that is only limited by the terrain conditions, but not by the vehicle capabilities. This in turn significantly improves efficiency thanks to reduced travel time or greater travel distance.

    We selected an independent suspension on individual spring struts with levers made of UHMWPE by hot sintering. A polymer tube is molded inside these levers to ensure more elasticity and impact resistance. Further, this solution allowed us to reduce the weight of our vehicle and add buoyancy thanks to the levers and rollers made of low-density materials.

    By not using a conventional torsion bar suspension, we gained a number of advantages including free internal space, simplified body design, lower cost, and easy assembly.

  • WILL YOUR ENGINE BE FUEL-EFFICIENT AND WHY DOES SUCH VEHICLE NEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION?

    The fuel-efficiency of the TERRANICA vehicles is ensured by a sufficiently powerful and up-to-date turbo diesel engine. On the other hand, automatic transmission creates a continuous torque that not only makes the vehicle control easier, but also improves safety by preventing the vehicle from rolling back when you shift a gear (as occurs in case of manual transmission) and by preventing the engine from a sudden stopping upon overload. We chose diesel engines 1.4L, 63 kW/4000 rpm and 2.0L, 110 kW/4000 rpm as powertrains. These up-to-date turbocharged diesel engines developed by the Italian company VM-Motori combine high power capacity and fuel-efficiency with low weight. Such engines are mounted on a large number of cars like JEEP, HUNDAI, etc. Our 4-speed automatic transmission of proven and reliable design is manufactured under license from the famous German company ZF.

  • A DIESEL ENGINE HAS LOWER FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GREATER TORQUE, BUT IT IS BEHIND IN TERMS OF ITS HEAVY WEIGHT, HARD STARTING IN WINTER, AND HIGHER COST. IS IT WORTHWHILE?

    In terms of weight and power-to-weight ratio, modern diesel engines are almost identical to gasoline engines of the same displacement. Our smallest engine is only 1.4 liters in volume and 63 kW in power output. Its weight is only 128 kg. A gasoline engine of comparable power output weighs 110 to 120 kg. Because our all-terrain vehicle is capable of floating in water, we took great focus on its weight, and even 20-kg difference was important for us in our design process. Speaking about why diesel engines are harder to start in winter, the guaranteed start temperatures in modern diesel engines may be down to -25 degrees. If you are going to operate your all-terrain vehicle in the north, it would be a reasonable choice to mount a starting preheater on your vehicle. We have it as an optional feature. Furthermore, when mounting the preheater, we also add a second battery. For this purpose, we have enough free space available next to the main battery. This may be needed, for example, for you to sleep in the night with preheater turned on and then in the morning easily start your vehicle from the main battery.

  • TERRANICA ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE CAN TRAVEL OVER 400 KM WITHOUT REFUELING.. HOW THIS IS GREAT ENDURANCE ACHIEVED?

    High endurance of our vehicle is achieved not only by fuel-efficient diesel engine, but also by large capacity (120 liters) of the fuel tank. The original design fuel tank has a device that prevents the fuel tank standpipe from draining at large inclinations and with little amount of fuel in the tank. Obviously, the fuel consumption strongly depends on the operating conditions. The above-mentioned fuel consumption is assumed when traveling on a cross-country terrain with hard surface.

  • WHAT STEERING MECHANISM IS USED IN THE VEHICLE?

    For steering purposes, we developed an original design steering clutch. For a 1.5-ton vehicle, this is the only best option. This unit demonstrated high efficiency and reliability in performance testing.

  • WHAT IS THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE BODYWORK?

    The all-terrain vehicle body is designed as a welded steel frame mounted inside a leakproof welded aluminum hull and covered with upper part made of composite materials. A 50 mm thick layer of thermal/noise insulation covers all surfaces of the vehicle body. All round the bodywork, there is a guard-rail made from a polished stainless steel tube to protect the vehicle against minor damages.

    Presently, we also mount the front armor protection made of UHMWPE sheets. This allowed us to make the lower part of the body absolutely resistant to shocks, which significantly extended the "extreme" performance of our all-terrain vehicle.

  • WHY IS THE TOP OF THE VEHICLE MADE OF FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC, AND NOT METAL?

    Fiberglass reinforced plastic is a strong, durable, and non-corroding material that is well-accepted in the shipbuilding industry.

  • WON'T THE BACK BENCHES BE INCONVENIENT?

    We paid special attention to ergonomics. The vehicle controls are the same as in cars, which provides a distinct advantage over the all-terrain vehicles with motorcycle-type or lever controls – no need to re-train. The size and arrangement of seats ensure long-term comfortable accommodation of people wearing winter clothes. The cabin is convertible to enable the vehicle to carry cargo.

  • WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU I NEED TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE? WHERE CAN I REGISTER THE VEHICLE, AND WHAT LICENCE REQUIRMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR THE VEHICLE DRIVERS?

    When you buy our vehicle, we give you a self-propelled vehicle certificate of title. You will need to present the certificate of title to the Russian State Technical Supervision Authority to complete registration and obtain your license plates. A driver must have a tractor driving license, category A II (off-road vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating not exceeding 3500 kg and with the number of seats in addition to the driver's seat not exceeding 8). International buyers who are importing TERRANICA vehicles simply must conform with the registration and license requirements of their local country.

  • WHY IS THERE SUCH A GREAT DIFFERENCE IN PRICE BETWEEN 400-MM AND 500-MM TRACKS?

    When mounting the 500-mm tracks, in addition to the tracks themselves, we also replace the suspension brackets and the guard-rail. After all these replacements, a 600-mm track can be mounted without any interference to the suspension. That is why the difference in price between 500-mm tracks and 600-mm tracks is not significant unlike 400-mm tracks.

  • WHEN SHOULD I ORDER THE FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC HARDTOP, AND WHEN A CONVENTIONAL CANVAS TOP WILL SUFFICE?

    In addition to the field testing, our vehicles were also tested in the tough Russian winter conditions. It was found that the canvas top with seals mounted on TERRANICA Dreamtrack maintains room temperature heat even at -35 degrees, and you feel very comfortable inside your vehicle. Obviously, this does not mean that such comfort can be maintained at -50 degrees – the temperature inside your vehicle will not rise above 10 degrees. Canvas top lab tests demonstrate that the material does not lose its properties even at extremely low temperatures (the lowest test temperature was -53 degrees). Therefore, fiberglass hardtops that will be available in 2016 are only recommended for use at extremely low temperatures.

  • HOW TO BUY THE ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE?

    To buy our all-terrain vehicle, you should contact us in any convenient way. Our main warehouse is situated in the city of Chita (Zabaykalsky Krai). If the vehicle is available in stock, it can be shipped to you the next day after payment. If your selected configuration is not available in stock, then it will be shipped to you within 60 working days from the date of payment.
